The Victorian Government says by 2050 Melbourne will be home to nearly 8 million people and as part of a plan to future prove the city it wants to introduce swathes of new housing stock to make it easier for people to buy at a home, but critics of the scheme say it threatens Melbourne’s’ reputation as one of the world’s most livable cities.
