Friends of Ku-ring-gai Environment took Dr Elizabeth Farrelly, Better Cities Initiatives Founder and CEO, on a tour of the Transport Oriented Development (TOD) and Low to Mid Rise Housing sites affecting Rosevlle, Lindfield, Killara and Gordon in early October 2024.
The TODs would allow similar heights of the apartments lining Lindfield Avenue, Lindfield, above Harris Farm, in residential heritage streetscapes.
The NSW Government’s ‘One size fails ALL’ TODs are simply poor planning and threaten to destroy everything that makes Ku-ring-gai unique and essential to Sydney.
This is why the Ku-ring-gai Council legal action against them is so important.
CORRECTION
We wish to correct an error. Dr Farrelly is a trained ‘architect’ and not an architect as defined under s.9 of The Architects Act.
FOKE appreciates the time Dr Farrelly took to join us on a tour of Ku-ring-gai and apologises that there has been a misunderstanding regarding her views on how to preserve Heritage Conservation Areas and heritage items under the Transport Oriented Development (TOD).
