FOKE met with Mayor Cr Christine Kay (St Ives Ward) in the presence of the General Manager Mr David Marshall and the Corporate Communications Manager Virginia Leafe on Monday 11 November 2024.

We were pleased to report that Mayor Kay confirmed that Council is proceeding with the legal action against the NSW Government’s Transport Oriented Development (TOD) SEPP.  The General Manager also confirmed that the public exhibition of the TOD Alternative Scenarios will not impact on the legal action.

The mediation between Ku-ring-gai Council and the NSW Government in the Land & Environment Court is scheduled to take place by November 21, 2024. The matter will then be listed for further directions on November 22, 2024.

Ku-ring-gai Council has sought documents from the NSW Government, some of which have been produced.

Council will be able to give an update on the legal proceedings after the matter is heard in Court.
