Ku-ring-gai Council meeting on Tuesday 26 November 2024 closed after only 13 minutes with no questions or debate by any of the 10 councillors on the agenda.

This included GB 12 which proposed to closed several roads in and around the St Ives Shopping Village. Council is proposing to close and sell the roads to the shopping centre for re- development. Whilst the closure or the roads is the first stage of many it is most likely that council will also sell the public carparks as well!


With so many briefings held behind closed doors with staff it appears that councillors have already made up their minds before the council meeting and why most agenda items are now just ‘tick the box’ without any need for councillors to stand and debate the matters.
